Your servers (BYOS)
Last updated:
Bring your own server lets Nashir manage application deployment on infrastructure you control. It does not transfer responsibility for the machine, its network or its data to Nashir.
Before connecting
- A Linux server supported by the installer, with administrative access.
- A reachable SSH endpoint and credentials accepted by the setup flow.
- Permission to install the runtime and agent and configure the server’s networking.
Connect and verify
- Open Servers in your workspace and start the add-server flow.
- Provide the server details and requested SSH authentication. Review the setup actions before continuing.
- Wait for installation to finish and confirm the agent is connected. A saved server entry alone does not mean it is ready.
- Choose this connected server as the target when creating an application or database.
Your responsibilities
- Maintain the operating system, access policies, firewall and software updates.
- Plan capacity and monitor disk, memory and network use.
- Manage backup and recovery requirements for your workloads.
- Keep agent connectivity working and investigate disconnected-server status.
If connection fails
Check the address, SSH access and administrative permissions. Inspect setup output and the server’s agent status. Resolve installation or connectivity errors before retrying a deployment.
