Domains & SSL
Last updated:
Add a domain to an application and configure its DNS using the records shown in Nashir. Domain verification, routing and HTTPS readiness are separate checks.
Before you start
- Deploy an application that responds on its configured port.
- Have access to the DNS provider for the domain.
- Use the application URL shown in the dashboard to confirm the app works before changing DNS.
Connect your domain
- Open the application’s domains area and add the hostname you want to use.
- Copy the exact DNS record type, host and target shown by the product. Configure them at your DNS provider.
- Run verification or check its status after the DNS change becomes visible.
- Check HTTPS status, then open the final URL and test the application.
DNS troubleshooting
- Check spelling, record type and the exact hostname being verified.
- Remove conflicting records only when you understand their existing purpose.
- If DNS is verified but requests fail, inspect the app’s deployment, configured port and health status.
- A browser certificate error is not the same as an application error; inspect the domain’s HTTPS status.
Changing or removing a domain
Before removing a domain or changing its target, consider existing users and integrations. Keep access to the DNS provider; removing a domain from Nashir does not remove your provider’s records.
