Quickstart
Last updated:
Take your application from localhost to production: connect its source, review the build and runtime configuration, then follow the deployment.

Before you start
- A Nashir account with a verified email and access to a workspace.
- A GitHub repository accessible through your connected GitHub installation.
- An app that builds locally, a production start command, and any required environment variables.
1. Connect your source
- Open your workspace and connect GitHub. Grant access to the repositories you intend to deploy.
- Create an application. Select the repository and deployment branch; choose a project if you want to group related resources.
- For a monorepo, set the application root directory so the build uses the correct files.
2. Review configuration
- Choose an available Nashir-managed target or a connected server.
- Review the build method and its settings. If using a Dockerfile, verify its path and build context.
- Add required variables and select their build/runtime scope. Check the container port and health-check settings.
3. Deploy and inspect
- Start the deployment and open its details. Read build output and deployment status.
- When the deployment is healthy, open the application URL shown in the dashboard. Test a real request.
- If it fails, inspect the first relevant error, check the start command, variables and port, then deploy again.
After the first deployment
Use the application’s deployment history, variables, domains and status to manage the service. Check the connected branch and automatic-deployment settings before relying on future pushes.
